Guanghan City was listed as a national demonstration spot for pollution-free vegetables, and designated as a national horticulture demonstration zone for export by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation; Luojiang County is a famous native place for pears; Zhongjiang County is a major national production base for traditional Chinese medicines. So far such lynchpin industries covering grain and oil, livestock and fowls, vegetables, fruits, seeds, silkworm cocoons, flowering plants, nursery stock, and traditional Chinese medicines are fledgling across Deyang.
