A large number of large enterprises, such as Jinlu Group, Hongda Group, Lonmon Group and so on, engaged respectively in phosphorus chemical industry, chlorine-alkali chemical industry, and fine chemical industry, generate as much as 3 billion yuan worth of annual output value and export their products to countries like South Korea, Japan, Australia, and Malaysia. A number of newly-established enterprises are capable of researching and producing nanometer material, functional material, superhardness material, and high molecular material.

Clothing and Pharmaceutical Industries

Deyang is one of the important national manufacturing bases for traditional Chinese medicines, from where a batch of medicines, such as the root of red-rooted salvia and peeled root of herbaceous peony become well known to the country.
