Deyang aims to take 3 steps and endeavor to quadruplicate its economic growth within a span of 2 decades: by 2023, Deyang will basically realize the modernizations, i.e.by 2007, Deyang will double its GDP based on that of 2000, with per capita GDP at 1,600 dollars; by 2013 when Deyang sees its 30th birthday, Deyang will triplicate its GDP, with per capita GDP over 3,000 dollars, whereby bringing forth a well-to-do society ahead of time; by 2023 on the 40th birthday, Deyang will quadruplicate its GDP, with per capita GDP exceeding 6,000 dollars, whereby basically realizing the modernizations. Thus Deyang will become a beloved land where economy is well-developed, political civilization is prevalent, cultural undertakings are flourshing, society is in harmony, environment is beautiful, and the people lead a happy life.
