Deyang is a history book. The ancient Shu (Sichuan) people composed of the brilliant cantos of the Snaxingdui; a satrap of the Shu Kingdom named Li Bing carried out the water-control program in Luomian; the three dutiful sons in the Eastern Han Dynasty left a good name forever; Pang Tong, a military advisor in the Three Kingdoms period, sacrificed himself at the Baima Pass in order to protect his state. In contemporary and modern times, there appeared lots of outstanding and talented people.

Deyang is a young girl. The Yinghua Mountain's picturesque scenary shows its youthful charm; the Xiaoquan's three pieties and the story of An'an Sending Rice to His Mother exhibit the loyalty and fealty of Deyang's offspring. The sound from a spring called Yong Quan and the toll from the first temple in West Sichuan is their euphemistical singing.

Deyang is an art palace. The bronze culture displayed in the Sanxingdui Museum sparkles with pluralistic light of the Chinese civilization's origin. The Mianzhu Spring Festival Painting is praised as one of the four great masterpieces in China. The stone carvings in the Guangyin Cliff in Deyang suits both refined and popular tastes and boasts many favors. The Confucian Temple reappears the immensity and profundity of the Chinese Confucian culture.
